Nuno Markl is once again in need of help – what’s the difference between these two, again? Max and Mat start his Jedi training and the Force will flow through him – as well as the difference between lamps (and lightsabers)!
Having the coolest script and Nuno Markl on board once again proved to be the perfect recipe for this project. Not only would we play with a lot of visual references and cues known to everyone – lightsabers, imperial backgrounds and droids! – but we had the opportunity to create Nuno in 3D, having him interact directly with Max and Mat – his Jedi Masters, no less.
We took real care in creating backgrounds (both on set and in the 3D world) that would blend with the brand’s identity. The result is a unique yet recognizable universe bridging the gaps between Maxmat, Nuno Markl and the Jedi world.
Two flourescent lights held by Nuno set the tone early on and make for a really cool framing on Nuno’s face as we go into hyperspace with a vertigo-like camera movement. Nuno quickly completes his Jedi training, for a true fan knows his way around the Force – even if all feels a bit dreamy in the end 🙂
