What do eccentric rich people do? Well, they buy whole highways lanes.
Specially on Friday 13th, they get to play on their home water park, so everyone can finally escape that damned morning traffic!
And to do just that, we created this 100% CG traffic jam in roughly 3 weeks from start to finish. Paying attention to details is key to mimic reality!
Nothing is quite perfect as digital assets in real life, so a great deal of work went into making sure that nothing was “that” perfect. From scratching car paint, deflating tires, adding pebbles and cracks on the asphalt, all the way to subtleties on car weight upon moving, we put on our eagle eyes to find any unwanted “perfection”!
Not only that, but the finishing touches are also as subtle as important – Surface changes that reflect sun glints, camera lens artifacts like distortion and blur and a couple more tricks on our sleeves all add to a natural feeling.
A nice change of style from what Nebula is used to, and even though we could do so much more, in the very tight deadline we were given, we’re actually very proud!
