This one was pure fun. Instead of our usual 3D characters in a magical world, we went all in on a full 60” musical—shot entirely on location.
Max and Mat stepped aside to make room for over two dozen actors, dancers, extras, and plenty of in-store props, all coming together for a DIY-inspired choreography.
To make the VFX blend seamlessly with the live-action, we first 3D-tracked every shot. From there, we built a simplified 3D mesh of each scene, allowing us to model elements that worked as shadow catchers—or even replace entire storefronts when needed. Once the stage was set, we brought Max and Mat back in, animated their moves, and lit them to match the real footage perfectly.
For the grand finale, we digitally extended the camera move, lifting it higher to create enough space for the campaign’s hero poster. Each Max and Mat pair was animated on its own static camera setup, rendered individually, and then mapped onto simple “posters” seamlessly tracked into the final shot.

At the heart of it all is the song’s chorus: “Everything can be fixed.” It’s the motto of Maxmat’s new campaign—and honestly, not a bad life philosophy either 💛
